Calibrated

Paving is cut to the same depth give or take 1 to 2mm tolerance (easy lay).

 

F

Flamed

Surface of the slab has been flamed with a torch to give a light textured finish.

 

H

Handcut

Paving is cut by hand, will be different depths all over (within 5 – 10mm), sides and surface will be Riven.

 

Honed & sawn

Flat, smooth, polished face, machine cut.

 

R

Riven

Natural, textured, slightly uneven.

 

S

Shotblast

Flat surface with a dimpled texture.

 

Sawn edge

All sides of the paving machine cut.
