Natural hand-cut Sandstone is a popular choice to add a rustic charm to your garden area. It creates a traditional feel and promises to bring character and charm to your outdoor space throughout all seasons. Sandstone is a long-lasting, frost-resistant, and robust material for exterior use, making it ideal for enjoying BBQs in summer or firework nights in winter.

Raj Green hand-cut Sandstone has a natural riven surface with chiselled edges, which gives it a very natural finish and look. The slabs are 18mm calibrated (3-5mm +/-), ensuring a constant thickness and flat laying side for easy installation.

Since Sandstone is a porous material, we recommend using a Prima on the underside/laying side of each slab to ensure a good bond between the base and the slabs. This also prevents any moisture from the base from soaking in, causing potential mirror staining once the installation is completed and starts to dry.

For the best results and longevity of your paving, we highly recommend sealing the surface using a breathable natural stone sealer. This will protect against the build-up of algae and moss and prevent fading caused by UVA rays. Sealing will also help prevent the stones from staining.

Please note that acid-based cleaners such as brick acid should not be used on natural stone as this product is too harsh and can cause permanent damage.

All the pictures on our website are taken for reference in terms of coloring, patterns, and tones. They can be taken wet or dry. Sandstone is more vibrant in color when wet and lighter pastel tones when dry.
