Batch information

Porcelain paving is a man-made product crafted in batches and may exhibit variations in colour and texture from batch to batch. This potential variance means that the porcelain you receive upon ordering may differ slightly from the samples sent, or our showroom displays viewed before making your purchase. To maintain product consistency, we advise against combining different sizes as these will inevitably be different batch codes. It is industry standard to allow an additional 10% on all orders.

Should you have any concerns about these variations, please reach out to our sales team for personalised guidance. We recommend keeping note of the โ€˜batch colour codeโ€™ labelled on the packaging of the delivered porcelain. This is a white label of the side of the pallet and also the packing of each individual slab.

While we strive to source the same batch for future orders, this isnโ€™t guaranteed. Therefore, we encourage ordering sufficient quantities initially to maintain uniformity in your project.

Split packs
Split Packs Available

We offer split packs on selected paving products, including natural stone paving (sandstone, Limestone, slate, granite) and our best-selling 600×900 porcelain paving. This allows you to order the exact square metre coverage you need, helping you avoid the cost and waste of buying a full pack.

This option is ideal forย smaller projects, patios, pathways, or topping up an existing order.

Please note:

  • Split packs are available onย selected products only
  • Mixed-size porcelain paving packs cannot be split
  • Delivery is included in the product price
  • Orders areย securely repacked onto pallets for safe UK delivery
Ordering Advice

When calculating how much paving you need, we recommend addingย 10% extra coverageย to allow forย cuts, breakages, and spare slabsย during installation.

Mixed-size project packs can only beย split by square metre, not by individual slab sizes.

Why Customers Choose Split Packs

โœ”ย Buy only what you need โ€“ no full pack required
โœ”ย Perfect for small patios, garden paths, and extensions

Help & advice

Measurement

Make sure you measure from the longest point to the longest point, side to side and front to back. Use our coverage calculator to help you know what your requirement coverage is.

Add 10% Extra

The recommended industry standard is that you add 10% extra to your total measurements to allow for cuts, wastage, breakages and spares. By placing your order with us, you confirm that you have added this 10% extra as part of your own calculations and purchase.

Minimum Order

We can sell the paving by the sqm, however, for optimal transit, we recommend ordering a minimum of 5 sqm to ensure proper pallet weight.

Coverage

The coverage for each pack size is available on all products under the โ€˜Specificationโ€™ section. This indicates the area that can be covered, including the recommended joint width. Additionally, we provide the pack size, which indicates the number of slabs included in each pack.

Cut of times

For both standard and premium deliveries, the cutoff time for same-day dispatch is 11 a.m. If you need your order urgently and have missed this cutoff time, please call our team, and we will let you know if there is anything we can do to assist you.

โœ… Wide Range of Colours, Textures, and Stone Types
โœ… Perfect for Residential and Commercial Projects

About Our Stone Cladding

Our stone cladding is quarried from natural stone and cut into split-face tiles, creating a textured, three-dimensional effect reminiscent of traditional dry-stone walling. Each piece is unique, with natural colour variable, grain, and surface texture, allowing you to achieve a customized and authentic look for any space.

Stone cladding pairs beautifully with other materials such as wood, brick, stainless steel, or glass, giving you complete flexibility in design. Its durability and natural aesthetic make it perfect for:

  • Residential Uses: Feature walls, fireplaces, kitchens, bathrooms, backsplashes, and showers.

  • Commercial Uses: Offices, restaurants, bars, hotels, and retail spaces.

Installation & Appearance

Stone cladding is easy to install on both interior and exterior walls. The natural variable in colour, pattern, and texture ensures every installation is unique. For a more vibrant look, natural stone appears richer when wet, while lighter pastel tones are revealed when dry.

Why Choose Natural Stone Cladding?

Natural stone cladding offers a durable, low-maintenance, and visually striking solution for transforming walls into architectural features. Its authentic texture, depth, and range of finishes make it a versatile choice for modern or traditional designs, indoors or out.

Installing Split-Face Stone Cladding Tiles โ€“ Tips for a Professional Finish

Achieving a stunning wall or feature with split-face stone cladding tiles requires careful preparation and attention to detail. Follow these expert tips to ensure your installation is smooth, long-lasting, and visually impressive.

1. Preparing Your Tiles

When your tiles arrive, itโ€™s normal for them to appear dusty or grey. This is not a defect. Lightly wetting the surface before installation will enhance the natural colour variables and help create a balanced, even palette across your wall.

If your order includes multiple crates, mix tiles from each crate during installation. Natural stone is quarried with unique variables, so mixing tiles prevents noticeable colour bands and creates a more authentic, natural look.

2. Applying Adhesive

Split-face tiles are often slightly bowed. To compensate:

  • Apply a generous amount of adhesive to the back of each tile.

  • Avoid using a tile comb tool to spread the adhesive, as this may reduce contact and stability.

For clean, polished corners, use chrome tile beading on 45-degree angles. This ensures a professional, seamless finish.

3. Sealing for Bathrooms and Wet Areas

If installing split-face mosaic or cladding in a bathroom, shower, or wet area, it is recommended to seal the stone with a suitable stone sealer. This protects the surface from water splashes, stains, and moisture damage, keeping your tiles looking pristine for years.

4. Key Installation Tips

โœ… Wet tiles before installation to reveal natural colours
โœ… Mix tiles from multiple crates for consistent colour variable
โœ… Use plenty of adhesive to account for natural bowing
โœ… Avoid spreading adhesive with a comb tool
โœ… Use chrome beading for clean, professional corners
โœ… Seal tiles in wet areas to protect against moisture and stains

By following these steps, your split-face stone cladding tiles will create a durable, eye-catching feature wall that highlights the natural beauty and texture of stone.

Caring for Natural Slate โ€“ Tips for Long-Lasting Beauty

Installing a natural slate patio or cladding requires care to avoid staining during the process, and proper maintenance will ensure your stone retains its natural beauty for years to come.

1. Cleaning Your Slate

For regular maintenance, keep the surface clean with water. Using a garden hose is preferred over a high-pressure washer, as high-pressure washing can:

  • Damage the mica layer on the slate

  • Alter the natural appearance and sheen

  • Potentially harm joints between the slates

2. Removing Moss and Dirt

If moss, algae, or ingrained dirt develops, use a mild, slate-safe cleaning agent. A domestic detergent is usually sufficient for routine cleaning.

Important: Avoid wire brushes or metal scrubbing tools. Residue from metal can adhere to the slate surface, causing rust stains and damaging its natural look.

3. General Maintenance Tips

โœ… Regularly rinse with a garden hose instead of high-pressure washers
โœ… Use mild detergents for moss or dirt removal
โœ… Avoid wire brushes or metal tools to prevent staining
โœ… Inspect joints periodically to ensure stability

By following these care tips, your natural slate patio or cladding will remain durable, visually striking, and safe for all weather conditions, maintaining its authentic, natural charm.
