Batch information

Porcelain paving is a man-made product crafted in batches and may exhibit variations in colour and texture from batch to batch. This potential variance means that the porcelain you receive upon ordering may differ slightly from the samples sent, or our showroom displays viewed before making your purchase. To maintain product consistency, we advise against combining different sizes as these will inevitably be different batch codes. It is industry standard to allow an additional 10% on all orders.

Should you have any concerns about these variations, please reach out to our sales team for personalised guidance. We recommend keeping note of the โ€˜batch colour codeโ€™ labelled on the packaging of the delivered porcelain. This is a white label of the side of the pallet and also the packing of each individual slab.

While we strive to source the same batch for future orders, this isnโ€™t guaranteed. Therefore, we encourage ordering sufficient quantities initially to maintain uniformity in your project.

Split packs
Split Packs Available

We offer split packs on selected paving products, including natural stone paving (sandstone, Limestone, slate, granite) and our best-selling 600×900 porcelain paving. This allows you to order the exact square metre coverage you need, helping you avoid the cost and waste of buying a full pack.

This option is ideal forย smaller projects, patios, pathways, or topping up an existing order.

Please note:

  • Split packs are available onย selected products only
  • Mixed-size porcelain paving packs cannot be split
  • Delivery is included in the product price
  • Orders areย securely repacked onto pallets for safe UK delivery
Ordering Advice

When calculating how much paving you need, we recommend addingย 10% extra coverageย to allow forย cuts, breakages, and spare slabsย during installation.

Mixed-size project packs can only beย split by square metre, not by individual slab sizes.

Why Customers Choose Split Packs

Help & advice

Measurement

Make sure you measure from the longest point to the longest point, side to side and front to back. Use our coverage calculator to help you know what your requirement coverage is.

Add 10% Extra

The recommended industry standard is that you add 10% extra to your total measurements to allow for cuts, wastage, breakages and spares. By placing your order with us, you confirm that you have added this 10% extra as part of your own calculations and purchase.

Minimum Order

We can sell the paving by the sqm, however, for optimal transit, we recommend ordering a minimum of 5 sqm to ensure proper pallet weight.

Coverage

The coverage for each pack size is available on all products under the โ€˜Specificationโ€™ section. This indicates the area that can be covered, including the recommended joint width. Additionally, we provide the pack size, which indicates the number of slabs included in each pack.

Cut of times

For both standard and premium deliveries, the cutoff time for same-day dispatch is 11 a.m. If you need your order urgently and have missed this cutoff time, please call our team, and we will let you know if there is anything we can do to assist you.

Create a striking modern outdoor space with Black Anthracite porcelain paving patio packs, a sophisticated dark grey porcelain paving designed to elevate contemporary gardens and stylish outdoor living areas.

These premium anthracite porcelain paving slabs feature a deep charcoal grey base blended with subtle lighter grey veining, carefully designed to replicate the natural beauty of stone while maintaining the clean, consistent finish that porcelain paving is known for. The result is a stunning patio surface that brings elegance, contrast, and modern character to your garden.

Supplied in mixed size patio packs, this porcelain paving allows you to create a traditional patio layout while maintaining a modern aesthetic. The variation in slab sizes adds visual interest and helps produce a more natural paving design compared to uniform tile layouts.

Manufactured using high-quality vitrified porcelain and fired at extremely high temperatures, these 20mm porcelain paving slabs are exceptionally strong, non-porous, and resistant to stains, frost, and weather damage. This makes them perfectly suited for the UK climate, where durability and weather resistance are essential for outdoor paving materials.

Unlike many natural stones, porcelain patio slabs require minimal maintenance, as the non-porous surface prevents the absorption of water, dirt, moss, and algae. This means your patio will stay looking clean and stylish with very little upkeep.

The modern anthracite tone pairs beautifully with contemporary garden designs, composite decking, aluminium pergolas, outdoor kitchens, and minimalist landscaping schemes.

For homeowners looking to achieve a modern garden transformation, Black Anthracite porcelain paving patio packs provide the perfect balance of durability, style, and practicality.

Benefits of Black Anthracite Porcelain Paving

Modern Contemporary Appearance

The dark anthracite colour with subtle grey veining creates a sophisticated patio finish that complements modern landscaping designs.

Durable Outdoor Porcelain

Manufactured from vitrified porcelain, these 20mm porcelain paving slabs are highly resistant to wear, frost, stains, and weathering.

R11 Slip Resistant Surface

The textured surface provides excellent grip underfoot, making these slabs safe for patios, pathways, and wet areas.

Low Maintenance Patio Solution

Unlike natural stone paving, porcelain slabs do not require sealing and are resistant to dirt, algae, and staining.

Long Lasting Colour

Porcelain paving is UV resistant, meaning the colour remains consistent without fading over time.

For the best results when installing porcelain paving slabs, follow recommended installation practices.

Important Installation Guidelines

  • Always install porcelain paving using a full mortar bed

  • Apply a porcelain primer or slurry to the underside of each slab to ensure strong adhesion

  • Use a wet diamond blade cutter for accurate cutting

  • Maintain joint widths of approximately 3โ€“5mm

  • Use a porcelain-compatible grout or jointing compound

We recommend ordering 10โ€“15% additional paving slabs to allow for cuts, waste, and installation adjustments.

Proper installation ensures your porcelain patio paving will remain stable and visually perfect for many years.

Care & Maintenance for Porcelain Paving Slabs

One of the biggest advantages of porcelain paving slabs is their incredibly low maintenance. Unlike many natural stone paving materials, porcelain patio slabs are manufactured with a vitrified, non-porous surface that resists moisture, stains, algae, and frost. This makes outdoor porcelain paving one of the most durable and easy-to-care-for options for UK patios and garden landscaping.

With simple routine care, your porcelain patio slabs will retain their colour, slip resistance, and clean appearance for many years.

Sealing Porcelain Paving

Unlike natural stone, porcelain paving slabs do not require sealing. During manufacturing, porcelain tiles are fired at extremely high temperatures, which creates a dense, vitrified surface that is highly resistant to water absorption, staining, and weather damage.

Because of this non-porous structure, outdoor porcelain tiles naturally repel dirt, oils, and moisture.

However, some homeowners choose to seal the grout joints between porcelain paving slabs. Sealing grout can provide additional protection against:

  • Algae growth

  • Surface staining

  • Dirt accumulation between joints

While sealing the porcelain itself is unnecessary, protecting the grout lines can help maintain a cleaner and longer-lasting patio installation.

Cleaning Porcelain Patio Slabs

Keeping porcelain patio slabs clean is simple and requires very little effort compared with other paving materials.

For routine maintenance:

  • Sweep the patio regularly to remove loose dirt and debris

  • Wash the paving occasionally using warm water and mild detergent

  • Use a neutral pH porcelain cleaner for deeper cleaning when required

Because porcelain paving is non-absorbent, it naturally resists common outdoor stains such as:

  • Oil and grease

  • Food spills

  • Mud and garden debris

  • Organic material such as leaves or moss

For stubborn marks, use a cleaning product specifically designed for porcelain paving tiles to avoid damaging the surface.

Avoid harsh acidic or chemical cleaners as these may affect the grout joints.

Pressure Washing Porcelain Paving

Pressure washing can be used occasionally to refresh the appearance of your porcelain paving slabs, particularly after winter or during seasonal garden cleaning.

When using a pressure washer:

  • Keep the nozzle at a safe distance from the surface

  • Avoid directing high pressure directly at grout joints

  • Use a fan spray rather than a narrow jet

This will help prevent damage to the jointing compound while safely removing dirt or algae from the paving surface.

Efflorescence and Porcelain Paving

Unlike natural stone paving, porcelain patio slabs are not affected by efflorescence, as they are non-porous and do not absorb water.

However, efflorescence can occasionally appear on grout joints due to moisture reacting with minerals in the jointing compound.

If this occurs, it can usually be removed using a specialist efflorescence cleaner that is suitable for porcelain paving and grout joints.

Jointing Porcelain Paving

When installing porcelain paving slabs, it is important to use a jointing material designed specifically for porcelain tiles.

Suitable jointing options include:

  • Exterior-grade brush-in jointing compound

  • Porcelain tile grout recommended by the manufacturer

For lighter coloured paving slabs, a light-coloured grout or jointing compound is recommended to prevent edge staining.

Always follow the manufacturerโ€™s installation instructions for best results.

Seasonal Care for Outdoor Porcelain Tiles

Although porcelain paving slabs are frost-resistant and weatherproof, a little seasonal maintenance will help keep your patio looking its best.

During autumn and winter:

  • Remove fallen leaves regularly to prevent surface staining

  • Sweep debris away to maintain the slip-resistant surface

In spring:

  • Wash the patio with warm water or a porcelain cleaner

  • Remove any winter dirt or surface residue

This simple seasonal care helps maintain the original appearance and R11 slip resistance of your porcelain paving.

Long-Term Performance of Porcelain Patio Slabs

High-quality 20mm porcelain paving slabs are designed to last for decades with minimal upkeep. Their exceptional durability, fade-resistant colour, and slip-resistant surface make them one of the most reliable paving materials for modern outdoor living spaces.

Because porcelain paving is resistant to UV fading, stains, frost, and algae, your patio will continue to look clean and stylish year after year with only occasional cleaning.

This makes porcelain patio paving an excellent choice for:

  • Garden patios

  • Outdoor dining areas

  • Pathways and walkways

  • Courtyards and terraces

  • Pool surrounds
