Batch information
Porcelain paving is a man-made product crafted in batches and may exhibit variations in colour and texture from batch to batch. This potential variance means that the porcelain you receive upon ordering may differ slightly from the samples sent, or our showroom displays viewed before making your purchase. To maintain product consistency, we advise against combining different sizes as these will inevitably be different batch codes. It is industry standard to allow an additional 10% on all orders.
Should you have any concerns about these variations, please reach out to our sales team for personalised guidance. We recommend keeping note of the โbatch colour codeโ labelled on the packaging of the delivered porcelain. This is a white label of the side of the pallet and also the packing of each individual slab.
While we strive to source the same batch for future orders, this isnโt guaranteed. Therefore, we encourage ordering sufficient quantities initially to maintain uniformity in your project.
Split packs
Split Packs Available
We offer split packs on selected paving products, including natural stone paving (sandstone, Limestone, slate, granite) and our best-selling 600×900 porcelain paving. This allows you to order the exact square metre coverage you need, helping you avoid the cost and waste of buying a full pack.
This option is ideal forย smaller projects, patios, pathways, or topping up an existing order.
Please note:
- Split packs are available onย selected products only
- Mixed-size porcelain paving packs cannot be split
- Delivery is included in the product price
- Orders areย securely repacked onto pallets for safe UK delivery
Ordering Advice
When calculating how much paving you need, we recommend addingย 10% extra coverageย to allow forย cuts, breakages, and spare slabsย during installation.
Mixed-size project packs can only beย split by square metre, not by individual slab sizes.

Help & advice
Measurement
Make sure you measure from the longest point to the longest point, side to side and front to back. Use our coverage calculator to help you know what your requirement coverage is.
Add 10% Extra
The recommended industry standard is that you add 10% extra to your total measurements to allow for cuts, wastage, breakages and spares. By placing your order with us, you confirm that you have added this 10% extra as part of your own calculations and purchase.
Minimum Order
We can sell the paving by the sqm, however, for optimal transit, we recommend ordering a minimum of 5 sqm to ensure proper pallet weight.
Coverage
The coverage for each pack size is available on all products under the โSpecificationโ section. This indicates the area that can be covered, including the recommended joint width. Additionally, we provide the pack size, which indicates the number of slabs included in each pack.
Cut of times
For both standard and premium deliveries, the cutoff time for same-day dispatch is 11 a.m. If you need your order urgently and have missed this cutoff time, please call our team, and we will let you know if there is anything we can do to assist you.

Raj Green Porcelain paving setts offer the traditional character of natural Raj Green sandstone with the practical benefits of modern porcelain. Featuring a blend of green, brown and grey tones, these 100mm x 200mm setts are designed to complement both traditional and contemporary outdoor spaces.
With a textured R11-rated surface, 20mm thickness and low-porosity porcelain construction, they provide a durable and low-maintenance option for patios, pathways, garden borders and decorative landscaping.
The smaller sett format is particularly effective for creating borders around larger paving slabs, defining different areas of a garden or creating attractive pathways and feature areas. They can also be paired with Raj Green porcelain paving to create a coordinated outdoor design.
Porcelain paving is manufactured using multiple surface prints to recreate the natural variation found in stone. Individual setts may therefore vary slightly in pattern and tone, helping to create a more natural overall appearance when laid.
Porcelain cobble setts are a premium and highly durable paving solution, offering a modern alternative to natural stone cobbles. Engineered from refined clays and minerals and fired at extremely high temperatures, porcelain setts are vitrified, dense, and fully non-porous โ making them one of the most reliable options for UK outdoor paving. Their exceptional strength, low maintenance requirements, and consistent, clean appearance make porcelain cobble setts one of the fastest-growing choices for contemporary landscaping.
Perfect for garden pathways, patios, edging, borders, courtyards, and even driveways (when load-rated), porcelain cobble setts combine the timeless look of traditional cobbles with the advanced performance benefits of modern porcelain paving. Their precise dimensions, fade-resistant colours, and slip-resistant textures create a long-lasting, high-quality finish that enhances any outdoor space. Whether youโre designing a stylish modern garden or upgrading a classic driveway, porcelain cobble setts provide a durable, attractive, and low-maintenance paving solution built to stand the test of time.
Before beginning your project, itโs recommended to order 10โ15% more porcelain paving than your calculated area to allow for cuts, waste, or unexpected breakages during installation.

Versatile Applications
Perfect for patios, pathways, terraces, pool surrounds, and outdoor entertainment areas, porcelain paving combines style and practicality in any setting.
1. Aesthetic Appeal
Modern Design & Colours:
Porcelain paving is available in a wide variety of colours and finishes โ from soft neutral greys and creams to rich anthracites and warm stone tones. This versatility allows you to create your ideal outdoor aesthetic, whether minimalist, rustic, or luxurious.
Premium Finish:
Unlike natural stone, porcelain tiles offer a consistent tone and texture across every slab. Their precision-cut edges and smooth, rectified surfaces make them perfect for modern patios, pool areas, and dining spaces.
2. Exceptional Durability
Porcelain paving is known for its outstanding strength and resistance to wear. Each tile is vitrified during manufacturing, giving it superior density and making it impervious to water, frost, and temperature changes โ ideal for the unpredictable UK climate.
Itโs also resistant to fading, scratching, and staining, maintaining its appearance for many years with minimal upkeep.
โ Suitable for high-traffic areas, driveways (with appropriate thickness), and residential patios.
3. Slip Resistance
Outdoor porcelain paving is designed with a textured, anti-slip surface โ typically rated R11 or higher โ ensuring safe use around pools, paths, and wet areas. This makes it a reliable option for families and commercial outdoor spaces alike.
4. Low Maintenance
One of porcelain pavingโs biggest advantages is its low-maintenance nature. Unlike natural stone, porcelain is non-porous, meaning it wonโt absorb moisture, dirt, or algae.
Cleaning is quick and easy โ a simple wash with warm water and a mild detergent keeps the tiles looking their best. Thereโs no need for sealing, saving time and money over the lifespan of your patio.
5. Cost-Effective Long-Term Investment
While porcelain paving can have a higher initial cost than concrete or sandstone, its longevity, durability, and minimal maintenance make it a cost-effective choice in the long run.
It retains its colour and texture year after year, requiring little upkeep compared to natural stone alternatives.
6. Eco-Friendly Manufacturing
Modern porcelain paving is produced using sustainable manufacturing processes, with low water absorption rates and recyclable materials. Its durability means fewer replacements over time, reducing environmental impact.
7. Popular Applications
โ Garden patios and terraces
โ Outdoor dining and entertainment areas
โ Pool surrounds and wet zones
โ Balconies, courtyards, and rooftop spaces
โ Pathways and feature landscaping
With its refined finish and durable surface, porcelain paving is increasingly used in both residential and commercial landscaping across the UK.
8. Key Considerations
โ Installation: Always use a porcelain primer/slurry for adhesionโporcelain is non-porous.
โ Cutting: Use a wet diamond blade cutter for clean edges.
โ Grouting: Choose a porcelain-specific grout to prevent staining.
โ Batch Codes: Order sufficient tiles from the same batch to ensure colour consistency.
In summary, Porcelain Paving offers the perfect blend of style, performance, and practicality. Its sleek appearance, durability, and easy maintenance make it ideal for modern UK gardens and patios.
With proper installation and minimal upkeep, porcelain patio tiles will stay looking beautiful and perform flawlessly for years to come.

Installation Guide โ Raj Green Porcelain Cobble Setts
Preparation & Planning
Before starting your project, carefully measure the area to calculate the number of porcelain cobble setts required. We strongly recommend ordering an additional 10โ15% to allow for cuts, wastage, breakages, and future repairs if needed.
Porcelain cobble setts are batch-coded, so always check and record the batch numbers upon delivery to ensure colour consistency throughout your installation. For the best visual match, order all materials for the project at the same time, as batch variations can occur between production runs.
Plan your layout pattern before installation begins. Popular laying patterns include:
- Herringbone
- Stretcher bond
- Basket weave
- Soldier course edging
- Decorative borders and curves
Thanks to their compact 200x100mm format, porcelain cobble setts are ideal for curved edges, pathways, and intricate landscaping details.
When planning your installation, ensure suitable drainage is incorporated with a recommended fall of approximately 1โ2% to prevent standing water.
Base Preparation
A solid and stable sub-base is essential for a long-lasting installation.
For patios and pathways:
- Excavate the area to the required depth
- Install a compacted MOT Type 1 sub-base
- Lay a full mortar bed using a suitable sharp sand and cement mix
For driveways or heavy-load areas:
- Ensure the sub-base depth and mortar bed are suitable for vehicle traffic
Always make sure the base is level, stable, and well compacted before laying begins.
Handling & Cutting
Porcelain setts are extremely strong once installed but may chip if mishandled during installation.
- Handle each sett carefully during transport and laying
- Use a wet-cut diamond blade designed for porcelain when cutting tiles
- Always wear suitable PPE during cutting and installation
Dry cutting is not recommended, as it can increase the risk of chipping and excessive dust.
Priming & Laying
Because porcelain is non-porous, applying a porcelain primer or slurry coat to the underside of every sett is essential. This step creates a strong bond between the porcelain and mortar bed and helps prevent future movement or lifting.
Before laying each sett:
- Apply porcelain primer/slurry evenly to the underside
- Place the sett onto a full wet mortar bed
- Tap gently into position using a rubber mallet
- Check levels regularly throughout installation
Avoid spot bedding, as this can create weak points and lead to movement or water retention beneath the paving.
Joint Spacing
Use tile spacers to maintain even and consistent joints across the installation. Consistent spacing creates a cleaner, more professional finish and helps improve overall appearance.
Joint width may vary depending on the desired look and installation type, but maintaining uniform joints throughout is highly recommended.
Grouting
Once the porcelain cobble setts have been fully laid and allowed to set, the joints should be filled using a porcelain-compatible grout or external jointing compound.
Important Grouting Tips:
- Follow the grout manufacturerโs instructions carefully
- Remove excess grout from the tile surface immediately
- Avoid allowing grout residue to dry on the porcelain surface
- Clean thoroughly with a soft sponge and clean water
To help reduce grout haze and simplify cleaning, a pre-grout protector or temporary sealer suitable for porcelain paving may be used before grouting begins.
Cleaning & Aftercare
After installation:
- Sweep regularly to remove dirt and debris
- Clean occasionally using warm water and a mild detergent
- Avoid harsh acidic cleaners or wire brushes
Porcelain cobble setts are low maintenance and resistant to staining, algae, fading, and frost, making them ideal for long-term outdoor use.
Important Installation Notes
- Always dry-lay and blend tiles from multiple boxes during installation to achieve a natural colour mix
- Check all tiles before installation, as installed materials are considered accepted
- Product colours may appear slightly different when wet or in varying lighting conditions
- Professional installation is recommended for best results

Sealing
Unlike natural stone, porcelain paving does not require sealing, as it has a vitrified, non-porous surface that resists stains, moisture, and frost. However, you may choose to seal the grout joints for added protection against algae growth and staining.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Porcelain paving is exceptionally low-maintenance. Because it is non-absorbent, it resists staining from common outdoor substances such as oil, grease, or organic matter. Regular sweeping and occasional washing with warm soapy water or a neutral pH porcelain cleaner are usually all thatโs required to keep it looking fresh.
Avoid harsh chemical or acidic cleaners. If stubborn marks appear, use a product specifically formulated for porcelain tiles. Power washing can be used occasionally, but always maintain a safe distance to avoid damaging grout joints.
Efflorescence
Porcelain tiles are not affected by efflorescence in the same way as natural stone can be, as they are non-porous. However, efflorescence may appear on the grout joints, which can be cleaned using a specialist efflorescence remover that is safe for porcelain surfaces.
Jointing
For jointing porcelain paving, use an exterior-grade brush-in jointing compound or a porcelain tile grout recommended by the manufacturer. Light-coloured jointing compounds are best suited for light tiles to avoid edge staining. Always follow the productโs instructions carefully.
Seasonal Care
Porcelain is frost-proof and resistant to algae, making it ideal for the UK climate. In autumn and winter, remove fallen leaves promptly to prevent surface debris buildup. Periodic cleaning in spring will refresh the tiles and maintain their original colour and slip resistance.
Long-Term Performance
Porcelain outdoor tiles are designed for decades of use. Their fade-resistant colour, anti-slip surface (typically R11 or R12 rated), and high strength make them a practical and stylish choice for patios, pathways, and outdoor entertaining areas. With minimal maintenance, your porcelain paving will continue to look stunning year after year.
