Batch information
Porcelain paving is a man-made product crafted in batches and may exhibit variations in colour and texture from batch to batch. This potential variance means that the porcelain you receive upon ordering may differ slightly from the samples sent, or our showroom displays viewed before making your purchase. To maintain product consistency, we advise against combining different sizes as these will inevitably be different batch codes. It is industry standard to allow an additional 10% on all orders.
Should you have any concerns about these variations, please reach out to our sales team for personalised guidance. We recommend keeping note of the โbatch colour codeโ labelled on the packaging of the delivered porcelain. This is a white label of the side of the pallet and also the packing of each individual slab.
While we strive to source the same batch for future orders, this isnโt guaranteed. Therefore, we encourage ordering sufficient quantities initially to maintain uniformity in your project.
Split packs
Split Packs Available
We offer split packs on selected paving products, including natural stone paving (sandstone, Limestone, slate, granite) and our best-selling 600×900 porcelain paving. This allows you to order the exact square metre coverage you need, helping you avoid the cost and waste of buying a full pack.
This option is ideal forย smaller projects, patios, pathways, or topping up an existing order.
Please note:
- Split packs are available onย selected products only
- Mixed-size porcelain paving packs cannot be split
- Delivery is included in the product price

Help & advice
Measurement
Make sure you measure from the longest point to the longest point, side to side and front to back. Use our coverage calculator to help you know what your requirement coverage is.
Add 10% Extra
The recommended industry standard is that you add 10% extra to your total measurements to allow for cuts, wastage, breakages and spares. By placing your order with us, you confirm that you have added this 10% extra as part of your own calculations and purchase.
Minimum Order
We can sell the paving by the sqm, however, for optimal transit, we recommend ordering a minimum of 5 sqm to ensure proper pallet weight.
Coverage
The coverage for each pack size is available on all products under the โSpecificationโ section. This indicates the area that can be covered, including the recommended joint width. Additionally, we provide the pack size, which indicates the number of slabs included in each pack.
Cut of times
For both standard and premium deliveries, the cutoff time for same-day dispatch is 11 a.m. If you need your order urgently and have missed this cutoff time, please call our team, and we will let you know if there is anything we can do to assist you.
Large Orders
Our website showcases all current promotions and discounts, reflecting our commitment to providing the best prices possible. For larger orders, we invite you to call us at 01329 774989, where our dedicated team may be able to offer additional savings.

For sheer durability and strength, Blue/Black Granite makes for an elegant paving material with its flame finish surface providing light texture, therefore, creating a nonslip exterior. This timeless beauty and long lasting qualities as a natural stone is very popular for outdoor patios, particularly swimming pools due to its grip texture on the surface. The beauty of Granite paving contemporary material makes this natural stone a perfect alternative to Porcelain Paving.
Granite paving slabs with a flamed surface are a premium and highly durable choice for outdoor landscaping. Naturally quarried and precision-cut, these slabs are renowned for their exceptional strength, long-lasting performance, and striking visual appeal. The flamed finish provides a textured, non-slip surface, making them ideal for patios, pathways, pool surrounds, and driveways in the UKโs variable climate.
Manufactured from 100% natural granite, these paving slabs are dense, weather-resistant, and capable of withstanding frost, rain, and heavy foot traffic without cracking or deteriorating. Their flamed surface enhances traction and safety, even in wet conditions, while retaining the natural beauty and character of granite. With consistent sizing and premium finishes, flamed granite paving slabs combine rugged durability with a refined, elegant aesthetic.
Before beginning your project, itโs recommended to order 10โ15% more of paving than your calculated area to allow for cuts, waste, or unexpected breakages during installation.
Benefits of Granite Paving:
โ Durable & Weather-Resistant
โ Non-Slip Flamed Surface
โ Low Maintenance
โ Durable, Frost & Weather Resistant
โ Elegant & Versatile Design
1. Aesthetic Appeal
Natural Beauty & Colours:
Flamed granite paving slabs are available in a range of natural colours and tones, from soft greys and earthy neutrals to deep blues, blacks, and rich stone hues. This versatility allows you to create a tailored outdoor aesthetic, whether youโre designing a sleek modern patio, a rustic courtyard, or a sophisticated poolside terrace.
Premium, Textured Finish:
Unlike manufactured materials, granite retains the unique character of natural stone. The flamed finish provides a lightly textured, slip-resistant surface while highlighting the stoneโs natural grain and tonal variable. Precision-cut edges ensure clean lines and a professional, high-quality appearance for pathways, patios, and outdoor entertaining areas.
2. Exceptional Durability
Granite is renowned for its strength, density, and long-lasting performance. Each slab is naturally impervious to water, frost, and extreme temperature fluctuations, making flamed granite paving ideal for the unpredictable UK climate. Resistant to chipping, scratching, and staining, granite retains its appearance for decades, even in high-traffic areas such as driveways, patios, and commercial spaces.
3. Slip Resistance
The flamed surface provides natural traction, making granite paving slabs a safe choice around wet areas such as swimming pools, patios, and garden pathways. This inherent slip-resistance is perfect for families, commercial properties, and any outdoor environment where safety is a priority.
4. Cost-Effective Long-Term Investment
Although granite paving may have a higher initial cost than sandstone or porcelain, its unmatched longevity, durability, and minimal maintenance make it an excellent long-term investment. Granite paving retains its colour, texture, and structural integrity year after year, providing lasting value for homeowners and commercial projects alike.
5. Environmentally Friendly
Granite is a natural material with low environmental impact. Its durability reduces the need for replacements, and sourcing responsibly quarried granite supports sustainable landscaping practices. With proper installation and care, granite paving slabs provide an eco-friendly solution that will last for decades.
6. Popular Applications
-
Garden patios and terraces
-
Outdoor dining and entertaining areas
-
Pool surrounds and wet zones
-
Pathways, courtyards, and rooftop spaces
-
Driveways and high-traffic outdoor areas
The combination of durability, natural beauty, and flamed texture makes granite paving increasingly popular in residential and commercial landscaping across the UK.
7. Key Considerations
-
Installation: Ensure the base is fully level and stable; granite is heavy and rigid, so an uneven base will show.
-
Cutting: Use a wet diamond blade cutter for clean, precise edges.
-
Jointing: Use a natural stone-compatible grout to maintain appearance and durability.
-
Batch Selection: Granite is a natural material; select sufficient slabs from the same batch to ensure consistent colour and patterning.
Installing a natural stone patio requires careful preparation and attention to detail to achieve a professional, long-lasting finish. By following the right techniques, you can ensure your patio is not only beautiful but also durable and low-maintenance.
1. Preparing Your Natural Stone Paving Slabs
When your natural stone paving slabs arrive, they may appear dusty or grey. This is completely normal and does not indicate a defect. To enhance the natural colours of the stone, lightly wet the surface of each slab before installation. This step helps to highlight colour variables and ensures a consistent palette across your patio.
If your order includes multiple pallets, itโs recommended to mix slabs from each pallet during installation. This prevents noticeable colour bands and creates a balanced, natural-looking finish across the entire paved area.
2. Using a Priming Slurry for Secure Fixing
For long-lasting adhesion, apply a priming slurry (SBR or primer) to the underside of each slab. This forms a protective barrier between the stone and the mortar bed, preventing natural salts and minerals from leaching through over time. Using a priming slurry ensures a strong, stable, and durable patio surface.
3. Cutting Natural Stone Slabs
To achieve clean, precise edges, use a diamond-tipped blade with an appropriately powered disc cutter. Cutting slowly and carefully reduces the risk of chipping or cracking the slabs, which is particularly important for achieving professional-looking joints around edges, corners, and obstacles.
4. Jointing Your Patio
For consistent and durable joints, use an all-weather brush-in jointing compound. This modern alternative to sand and cement provides excellent stability and prevents movement in the paving. After applying the jointing compound, avoid using acid-based cleaners, as these can damage natural stone surfaces. Instead, clean gently with water or a pH-neutral detergent if needed.
5. Key Tips for a Beautiful, Long-Lasting Patio
- Always wet the slabs before installation to enhance colour and create a consistent finish.
- Mix slabs from different pallets for even colour distribution.
- Use a priming slurry on the underside of each slab for strong adhesion and protection.
- Cut with a diamond-tipped blade for precise, professional edges.
- Use all-weather brush-in jointing compound for stable, durable joints.
- Avoid acidic cleaners to protect your natural stoneโs finish.
Laying a natural stone patio can be a messy process, so itโs important to take care during installation to prevent staining. Any residue left on the slabs, such as wet cement, mortar, or debris, should be cleaned immediately. Once dried, these substances can be difficult to remove and may seep into the stone, leaving permanent marks.
Natural stone is porous, which means it can absorb liquids from spills, wet leaves, bird droppings, or moss. These can all cause staining, and once absorbed, removal becomes challenging. To protect your patio, itโs recommended to seal your paving approximately 12 weeks after installation. Sealing not only prevents moisture penetration but also reduces the risk of frost damage and inhibits the growth of moss, mould, and algae.
During the drying process, you may notice efflorescence, which appears as a white or light grey powdery substance on the surface of the stone. This is caused by natural salts and minerals being drawn to the surface, especially in damp or humid conditions. While it may look unsightly, efflorescence does not affect the structural integrity of your paving.
By following these steps, your natural stone patio will remain clean, durable, and visually stunning for many years.
